Junior Hub Child Care and Learning Centre is located in the neighborhood of Hwy 7, 407 and Yonge Street, providing full-time care for children from 18mons to 6 years of age. Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

Reporting to: Supervisor

Successful candidates will have:

  • Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Working knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act, ELECT, and HDLH
  • Strong ability to plan, implement and document developmentally appropriate and bias-free activities with understanding of ELECT and How Does Learning Happen?; to engage with children to support their development in all areas; to organize an inspirational learning environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents/guardians, and staff
  • Excellent work ethics (be punctual, flexible, reliable) and commitment to quality care
  • Current standard First Aid and CPR, clear Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check dated within 6 months of hire date, Up-to-date health assessment including TB test.

Early Childhood Assistants (ECA)

Successful candidates will have:

  • Minimum of six months’ experience working with children in a day care or before and after school program
  • An ECA Diploma as an asset
  • Ability to engage with children to support their development in all areas; to maintain and clean an inspirational learning environment
  • Proven ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents/guardians, and staff
  • Excellent work ethics (be punctual, flexible, reliable) and commitment to quality care
  • Current standard First Aid and CPR, clear Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check dated within 6 months of hire date, Up-to-date health assessment including TB test.

Montessori Teacher

Reporting to: Supervisor

Successful candidates will have:

  • Diploma in Montessori Training from an accredited Montessori Training Institute
  • At least one year of on-job experience working in a Montessori environment
  • Experience to observe, guide and assess children while they learn in the classroom environment; to plan and implement Montessori learning activities to children; to engage with children to support their development in all areas
  • Proven ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents/guardians, and staff
  • Excellent work ethics (be punctual, flexible, reliable) and commitment to quality care
  • Current standard First Aid and CPR, clear Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check dated within 6 months of hire date, Up-to-date health assessment including TB test.
